TRANSPORT PLANES
Discussion By Cabinet (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. The Cabinet on Monday will probably examine Air Force recommendations for the purchase of at least six Lockheed Hercules transport planes. Its defence committee studied the matter today. A team of experts from the Lockheed Aircraft Company, is due in Wellington this month for talks with the Air Force. These conversations are expected to cover conversion for a maritime role of the planes which will otherwise be used for airlift work.
