But junta members .said earlier the “committee** would continue to function until elections wore held.
Officials close to the junta said elections would probably be held within a month to elect a constituent assembly te draw up a new sonstitution for the country. Most members of the mw cabinet were members of the governing party formerly led by Preeident Oiympio. Tbe former leader of the Opposition. Mr Antoine Meatchi, was named Minister of Finance, Minister of Public Works and Transport, Minister of Poets and Telegraphs and temporary Minister of Education. It was announced earlier toot toe Togo Astny would be increased in strength from its present three companies to a battalion.
