L M. Beatty—Mr T. K. Court, secretary of the Walkuku Beach Improvement Association. says it would have been appreciated if you had made your complaints on the day of the gala when action could have been taken. He and the police present were not aware of the irregularities complained of. Mr Court agrees that the gala was not up to the usual standard because two . postponements created a serious staff shortage, but says thanks are due to those who helped in trying conditions.
