Triple Peel By Solomon (NZ. Press Association) DUNEDIN. January 11. Winning all three singles matches played on the second day of the series. England went into an unassailable 5-1 lead over New Zealand today tn the Macßobertaon shield croquet test being played at Dunedin. Feature of the day's play, held in cold, blustery weather, was the triple peel executed by England's J. W. Solomon in his overwhelming defeat of A. J. Stephens. New Zealand's sole win in the aeries to date was scored in the doubles match which was unfinished from the first day. L. Middlemiss and Mrs L. Middtemlaa beat the England pair, D. W. Curtis and Miss J. Warwick. Results-(England names first): Singles.—J. W. Solomon beat A J. Stephem. U-4, 26-5; B. Lloyd-Pratt beat Mrs L. Middlemiss. 18-0. 28-12: H. R. D. Wiggins beat H. C. Ford. 28-S. 18-18 Doubles.—Miss J. Warwick and D. W. Curtis lost to L. Middlemiss and Mrs L. Middlemiss. 12-18, »-M 25--S.
