New Seismic Surveys

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 11. Seismic surveys in the Rahotu and Whangamomona areas will be started this month by Shell, 8.P., and Todd Oil Services, Ltd., a spokesman for the comply said today.

The initial survey will be in the Egmont National Park, east of Rahotu. Some preliminary work has already been carried out.

The team wiU then move to the Whangamomona area, inland from Stratford.

The spokesman said the assembly of the drilling rig at Inglewood was progressing satisfactorily and it was hoped the well would be spudded-in early next week.
