DOCKYARD DISPUTE

Dismissal Of Employee (N2. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 11. Tturty-five members of the North Island Electrical Workers’ Union employed at the naval dockyard at Devonpoct today stopped work after the refusal of the management to reinstate a worker dismissed just before Christmas.

The men returned to work this morning after the holiday break. They immediately held a stop-work meeting and decided not to work. Another meeting of toe men will be held on Monday morning. Members of the Northern Drivers’ Union employed at the dockyard have refused to carry any equipment into toe electrical workshop.
