(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK. January 10. Magnificent coloured pictures of New Zealand’s Tasman Glacier are featured in this week’s issue of “Sports Illustrated.” Called “A Trip to the Back of Beyond,” the feature depicts scenes from the glacier, with comments from Stein Eriksen, an Olympic ski-ing champion.
“I never in my life saw anything like it,” Eriksen was quoted as having said. One other picture shows Eriksen and other skiers standing on Mount Ruapehu watching steam from a live volcano rising out of the clouds.
