CANTERBURY B TOUR
Thomson Tops Averages
There was no play tn the second day of the match between Hutt Valley and Canterbury B at Hutt on Tuesday and the game was drawn. The Canterbury B team which played five matches against minor association teams won four games and drew one. K. Thomson was the outstanding player on the tour scoring more than 300 runs and taking 22 wickets. A. F. Rapley, P. B. Truscott and B. H. Hopkins, who. with Thomson, have been added to the Plunket Shield squad also met with considerable success. During its tour the team scored at an average rate of 88 runs an hour.
