Preparation Up To Schedule (From Ow Owe Rapsrtsr) WELLINGTON, January ft Working with hired holiday help. Education Department and University Examinations Board staff are at present toiling to prepare results of the 1962 school certificate and university entrance examineHons. The results should be announced about the same time as* last year*—about January 18 for school certificate and January 21 or 22 for university entrance. The exact dates should be fixed early next week. School certificate marking has been completed. Up to 31.300 students sat the tests. Pass lists are at present being collated with the aid of punch-card machines, nine temporary workers and. for a few special jobs, a computer. Next year, a large computer will take over almost all of the work. 'About 4000 pupils act the university entrance examinations. A few final marking sheets are not yet available But they are due daily and a staff which includes six extra workers will then begin preparing pass lilts and formal individual results notisfe*.
