OPEN DAY AT LINCOLN
Girls. Demonstrate
Camp Courses
In spite of the rain, about 400 visitors attended the open day of the Girls* Life Brigade, at Lincoln College yesterday, to watch the 800 girls give demonstrations of the courses they are taking. Unable to hold their work groups in the open, the girls took over various rooms in the college and the Lincoln Community Centre. Several Activities were cancelled, but parents, relatives and friends were able to watch the girls performing country dances, ball work, fencing, and Maori items. During the morning discussions on the Duke of Edinburgh Award continued. Altogether there are more than 300 girls interested in working for it at the moment. There are three candidates preparing for the Queen's badge.
