TAKE-OVER BY ODLIN

Smith Harvey Acquired (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 26. Smith Harvey Holdings, Ltd., timber merchant and sawmiller, Tauranga, has been taken over by the C. and A. Odlin Timber and Hardware, Company Ltd. The acquisition was partly satisfied by the issue of 32,256 ordinary 10s Odlin shares, and 4380 redeemable B preference shares of £1 each. This issue will increase Odlin’s ordinary capital to £536,002 and the preference capital to £215,923. Smith Harvey will at present continue under its existing name and management. During the last year, Odlin has also acquired Boon, Sullivan and Luke, Ltd., Whakatane timber and hardware merchant, and Hogg and Company, Ltd., Dunedin timber and joinery merchant.
