17 To Attend Queen, Duke
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Dec. 18. Seventeen officials of the Royal Household will accompany the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on their tour of Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand, Buckingham Palace announced today.
They will leave Britain on February 1 for Fiji and leave Australia on their return to Britain on March 27. - The officials accompanying the Queen and the Duke will be the Countess of Leicester (Lady of the Bedchamber); Miss Mary Morrison (Woman of the Bedchamber); Lieu-tenant-Colonel Sir Michael Adeane (private secretary to the Queen); Mr John Meech (New Zealand secretary to the Queen); Vice-Admiral Sir Roy Dowling (Australian secretary to the Queen); Sir Edward Ford (assistant private secretary to the Queen); Surgeon Vice-Admiral Derek Steele-Perkins (medical officer); Commander Richard Colville (press secretary); Mr Harle Freeman-Greene (acting - press secretary); Major John Mawson (New Zealand equerry-in-waiting to the Queen); Major Richmond Cubis (Australian equerry-in-waiting to the Queen); Lieutenant John Garnier, R.N. (equerry-in-waiting to the Queen); Squadron Leader David Checketts, R.A.F. (equerry to the Duke of Edinburgh); Lieutenant-Com-mander lan Fergie-Woods, R.N. (communications officer); Rear-Admiral Joseph Henley (flag officer, Royal yacht), who will be in command of the yacht Britannia. Major Sir Mark Milbank will be on duty on board the Royal yacht as master of the household. Air Vice Marshal Sir Edward Fielden (senior air equerry to the Queen) will be in attendance during the air journeys to and from Britain.
