Youth On Ice
One of the youngest New Zealanders to set foot in the Antarctic will step ashore at McMuirdo Sound on New Year’s Day. He is Terry Creaigh, aged 17, an Auckland sea cadet petty officer who will sail from Lyttelton this week in the supply ship Endeavour. His trip is sponsored by the Navy. He is a pupil at the Auckland Grammar School.
