Laing and Cr. J. S. Scott have been appointed to represent the Heathcote County Council on the Heathcote Domain Board, and Cr. Laing on the Christchurch Aged People's Welfare Council

Wing Commander A. L. Partelow, director of radio engineering at R.N.Z.A.F. headquarters, will retire next month after 32 years’ service. —(P.A.)
