Mayoral Allowance Raised
(N.Z. Preu Aseociation) WELLINGTON, Dec. 13. The Wellington City Council last night raised the Mayoral allowance from £l(k>o to £l5OO. Discussion was in committee, but the council-had already decided ait its trienniai meeting to increase the allowance as soon as legislation permitted.
Cyclist Injured.—A cyclist. Norman John Finlayson, of 424 Selwyn streeit, suffered leg injunies when he was involved in a collision with a car at the core er of Selwyn street and Motrhouse avenue early yesterday afternoon. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
