DAVIS CUP DRAW
N.Z. To Play Philippines (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 13. New Zealand has been drawn against the Philippines in its first match in the 1963 Davis Cup lawn tennis competition, Eastern zone. The match must be played by April 2. If New Zealand is successful, it plays the winner of the match between Japan and Korea in the semi-finals. The draw, received today by the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, is: Malaya v. Burma,-India v. winner of Ceylon and Pakistan, Philippines v. New Zealand, Korea v. Japan. The semi-finals are to be played by April 16, and the final by April 30.
