Sixteen appointments, 15 of them to assistant teacher positions have been confirmed by the Canterbury Education Board. Appointments confirmed are:— Senior assistant mistress: Waimate Main School, Miss K. E. Lowe. Secondary assistant mistresses: Southbridge District High School, Miss M. R. Rollerson; Temuka District High School, Miss D. M. Bell. Assistant mistresses: Avondale School, Misses C. I. Wyatt, C. L. Pledger, J. M. Gordon; Avonhead School. Miss J. M. Penlington; Cutts Road School, Miss S. Lang-dale-Hunt; Fairlie District High School, Miss H. M. Peare; Westburn School, Miss I. D. Evans and Mrs M. J. DeFilippi; Westerfield School. Miss M. B. Beggs. Speech therapist: Timaru Main School, Miss R. B. Wills; Assistant masters: Amberley School, Mr K. J. Smeaton; Avondale School, Mr C. J. Wilson; Hoon Hay School, Mr D. L. Clarke.
