A GIFT FROM MR NEHRU.—The Indian Prime Minister made a gift of a large tiger skin and four panther skins to the regimental drummers of the 1st Battalion, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Royal Regiment, before the battalion's departure for a tour of duty in Malta. The skins, which will be worn as “aprons,” were presented by the Indian High Commissioner (Mr M. C. Chagla) at Southampton. Mr Chagla is shown with Major-General B. A. Coad, inspecting the drummers, wearing the skins, after the presentation aboard the troopship Oxfordshire.
