Greaser Guilty Of Assault
(NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 11. A jury in the Supreme Court at Wellington today found a a ship’s greaser, James Mundell, aged 32, guilty of assaulting Francis McElhaney, a donkeyman, on board the Rangitane with intent to injure him while the ship was at Tahiti, The jury returned its verdict after a retirement erf four hours, and recommended clemency because the assault was committed under some degree of provocation. Mundell was remanded till Friday for sentence.
