Sir,—Jean Cotterill has many supporters for a city where trees are a “joy for ever,” winter and summer, as they appear to be in your own series. “The English Scene.” The despoliation of many tree-lined streets has continued unnoticed and without protest, insidiously robbing one after another of their original garden character. Is the motor-car, used by those who, as in England, are said to have created subtopia, to rule out every avenue here?—Yours, etc , AIR FILTERS AND HEALTH CLEANERS. December 11, 1962.
