J. CHAMBERS AGREEMENT

Manufacture Of Sirocco Fans A well-known United Kingdom brand of industrial fans, dust extractors and grit arresters of all types will in future be made in New Zealand under licence. Announcing this development, the chairman of directors of John Chambers and Son, Ltd. (Mr G. N. Roberts) said yesterday that an agreement had been reached between his firm and Davidson and Company, Ltd., of Belfast, for the local manufacture of Sirocco fans, many of which were in use in New Zealand already. “Davidson and Company’s products are in world-wide use and cover the whole field of fan engineering,” said Mr Roberts. “Local production will not only save overseas exchange but will also be of great value to manufacturing industries of every type.” Mr Roberts said. Sirocco products were currently being manufactured under licence in the United Kingdom, the Continent, the United States, South Africa and Australia, he added.
