Africans Die In Mine

(N.Z.P A.-Reuter —Copyright) JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 12. Twenty Africans were reported missing when a goldmine's sorting and crushing plant collapsed today after an underground subsidence. Little hope was held for the missing men. The accident happened at West Driefontein goldmine, about 35 miles west of Johannesburg. It was later reported five Africans were killed, 20 were taken to hospital, and 29 are unaccounted for after the collapse.
