EXCHANGE OF PUPILS
Arrangement By Schools (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. December 11. Eight pupils of the Mount Roskill Grammar School—five girls and three boys—will travel to Australia next year on an international exchange award which has been inaugurated to mark the school's tenth anniversary. The pupils will study in Sydney and Newcastle schools for a term and stay with families there. Then the Australian boys and girls will come to Mount Roskill.
The scheme was inaugurated by the school’s principal (Mr V. C. Butler), who negotiated with Australian educational authorities. The Education Department has given its blessing and requires only written evidence of satisfactory effort for the students to remain eligible to sit School Certificate and be accredited for University Entrance.
