(V.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 5.

The P Class yachtsman, M. Paterson, will repr» sent Auckland again in the national Tanner interprovincial and Tauranga (interclub) cups contests at Napier between January 11 and January 17. He won the first three trials for selection last week-end and the final two trials have been cancelled. Paterson, who won the last two contests for the Tanner Cup, will be seeking to emulate the feats of L. McGrath (Canterbury) and J. Gilj 1 (Tauranga), who both won it three times.

Walk For Mr Reed.—Mr A. H. Reed, aged 87, is about to set out on yet another of his cross-country ventures. Mr Reed is planning to walk across the northern section of the South Island sometime early in the New Year.— (P.A.)
