Water Polo LEAD RETAINED BY BECKENHAM

Beckenham, the leading team, and the second-placed Spreydon side, retained their poaitlona in the senior inter-club water polo competition by beating Christchurch and Elmwood. Beckenham beat Christchurch by 10 goal* to three, scorers for Beckenham being B. McNellage (3), R. Henry (2), L. Mclntosh (2). M. Soott (2), and G. Dann. For Christchurch R. Hatchwell scored twice and J. Turpin once In the other senior game, Spreydon beet Elmwood, 6-3. Scorers for Spreydon were D. Cutting, H. Schout (2), R. Blair (2), and I. H. McDonald. A. McPhail scored all three goals for Elmwood.
