Russians Deny Propaganda

Russian delegates to the Asian regional conference of the International Labour Organisation yesterday defended themselves against charges that they had used the meeting as a “propaganda platform.” They claimed that any political issues raised were closely related to the conference agenda and the economic development of the Asian area. The Russian delegate (Mr Vasilenko) told reporters that he had attacked American foreign aid as “exploitation" because he wanted to show the conference the real position in Asia.
The real problems in Asia could not be properly discussed without the participation of China, he said.
