Young Players’ Evening

The Unwood High School assembly hall was packed last evening when the Canterbury Cricket Association held an evening for young cricketers, at which films of the five tests between South Africa and New Zealand In South Africa last rear were shown Although the evening was mainly for young cricketers many parents attended also The president of the Canterbury Cricket Association (Mr W A. Hadlee) said that member* of the association had been heartened by the support given to the first evening specially devoted to younger cricketers. After the films, three members of the team who toured South Africa, G. T Dowling. P G. Z. Harris, and R. C. Hoti, were introduced to the audience.
