Farm-Raised Trout

(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. Among its recommendations for extending the fishing industry, the select committee proposed that the farming of trout and salmon on a commercial 'basis be permitted. It recommended regulations to safeguard against disease, for the labelling of farmraised trout, and the control of killing, dressing and packaging to safeguard against the use of poached fish. The committee concluded that farming would not threaten established sports

fisheries if suitable controls were imposed.
