Churchill 88
(N.ZP A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 30.
Sir Winston Churchill. Britain’s most famous twentieth century statesman, celebrates his eighty-eighth birthday today. He is expected to spend a relatively quiet day, as he is still recovering from the after-effects of a severe fall in Monte Carlo earlier this year.
It is not known whether he will take his seat in the House of Commons—where members of both sides have given him standing ovations on previous similar occasions.
