TROTTING GRAEME SCOTT IN FORM

Trotters’ Race At New Brighton

Graeme Scott looks to have bright prospects of gaining his first win for more than a season in the Rawhiti Handcap, the main race for trotters at the New Brighton Trotting Club’s summer meeting today.

Graeme Scott was a sound third in the race won by Robert Medoro on November 9 at Addington and if he trots as well in this event he should go close to winning.

Our Jimmy, which was promoted to second in the race won by Oakleigh Lad at Addington last Saturday, will be bracketed with Graeme Scott. Our Jimmy will start from 36 yards, but this might not be enough to keep him out of the finish.

Styiisii Moccasins could upset calculations. He won impressively at Oamaru in October, but at his next start he was an unlucky fourth, being badly checked inside the last furlong when trotting like an almost certain place-getter. He failed to trot solidly at Wyndham last Saturday at bis only other start for the season, but could go a lot better this week.

Oakleigh Lad won so well at Addington last Saturday that he must be considered as one of the best prospects. Oakleigh Lad has been most consistent this season and he looks an improved trotter. Queen's Cord looks the pick of the horses on the front .although Medieval

would have a chance if he trots solidly. However, both should be held safely by horses handicapped on 24 or 36 yards. Highland Rover was a winner at Oama.ru in October at his most recent start and he could be prominent again. Snow Globe will only have to trot solidly to gain another win. She was a little disappointing at Addington recently, but is capable of much better.

Composite. Minnow and Doctor Kyle are others capable of a bold showing. The double will be run on the President's Handicap and the New Brighton Handicap. Fair weather is forecast and the track is expected to be in splendid order.
