The retention of the word “British” in the proposed changed name of the Association of Universities of the British Commonwealth will be supported by the University of Canterbury, according to. a decision of the university’s council at its meeting yesterday. Certain political and national changes in other countries necessitated the changed name, the title suggested being the Association of Commonwealth Universities, said the Vice-Chancellor (Dr. L. L.
