Further Recovery By B.H.P. Shares
Broken Hill Proprietary shares recovered further in New Zealand trading yesterday with sales up to 44s 6d. After falling to 41s 6d in Auckland last Tuesday the shares picked up in later trading. Most of Friday’s business was written at 43s 6d. The week’s trading opened quietly in Christchurch when a mere 5000 shares changed hands. Price changes throughout New Zealand were mainly minor, with more rises than falls for both Australian and New Zealand issues.
