New Offices
A clause which will allow the North Canterbury Electric Power Board to build new offices on land outside its area is included in the Local Legislation Bill which is at present before the House of Representatives. The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, states that a board may provide public offices “within the district,” but the new legislation will allow the board to proceed with building public offices on the land which it owns within the Rangiora borough.
