N.I. WALK

Baby Proves No Trouble (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 26. Six-months-old Hugo Titman proved to be “almost a perfect child” on a near 400rnile trek with his parents, Mr and Mrs G. C. Titman, of Auckland, from Auckland to Wellington. Mr Titman is New Zealand chairman of the Federalist Action for the Revolutionary Constituent Assembly, and his wife, Mrs Kathleen Titman, is a keen supporter of the movement. Before returning to Auckland, the Titmans will present the Mayor of Wellington (Mr F. J. Kitts) with a “declaration of interdependence.” Mrs Titman said that although feeding and sleeping arrangements had to be made for the baby during the day, he had only slowed them down a little. For the first part of the journey, the Titmans walked from 24 to 25 miles a day. They slackened off in the last stages to an average of 18 miles a day.
