Non-Registration Of Dogs

(NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Nov. 24. Fines and costs amounting to £lB6 were imposed yesterday by Mr D. G. Sinclair, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court, Otaki, on 38 charges laid by the Hutt County Council in respect of nonregistration of dogs and nonpayment of the hydatids fee. Counsel tor the county (Mr J. J. M. Wiltshire) said that the county regarded the breaches as serious, because efficient measures for the control of hydatids were impossible unless all dogs in the county were registered at the appointed time. AU the defendants pleaded guilty. In the majority of cases the fine imposed on each charge was £2, with costs 30s and £2 2s solicitors’ fee.
