The first announcement that membership of the Communist Party has exceeded 10,000,000 was made in Moscow today. Mr Khrushchev said 3,655,0000 Communists were employed in industry, transport, and construction, and another 2546,000 in agriculture. Yesterday the Communist Party newspaper, “Pravda” claimed there were 42,500,000 members of the Communist parties in the world.
