Record Entries At Waimate The Waimate Kennel Society held its annuad show in conjunction with the Waimate Agricultural and Pastoral Association show on Saturday. A record entry <rf dogs was benched before the judge, Mr J. W. Heslop, of Christchurch. Miss M. Barker's cocker spaniel. Collingwood Rawhide, was judged as best tn show, also winning the Grand Challenge Stakes, best sporting, sporting open and the Visitors’ Stakes. Mrs A. K. Baynes’ pomeraman, Gold Nugget of Burwood. was runner-up. and also won the Breeders’ Stakes. The best opposite sex went to Miss L. Macfarlane's cocker spaniel, Scarborough Dawn. Other awards were as follows: — Terrier Puppy Stakes, Mr E A. Hopkins's fox terrier, Bromley Biddy. Terrier Open Stakes, Mr and Mrs N. C. Tasker’s fox terrier. Sparky of Ethsome. Best toy puppy. Top Puppy Stakes and Toy Limit Stakes. Mr and Mrs J. J. Neilson's pug, Scarborough Cider. Best corgi puppy, Mr D. J. MacDonald's Oektoridge Black Prince.
