St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago, making a total, so far. of 31 national flags flying at the Commonwealth Games \illage. the Perth "Daily News' 1 reported today. The team from Malaya is due to arrive in Perth late tonight, and village organisers will then have only the Bahamas. Barbados. and British Guiana to welcome The "Daily News" said it seemed that Brunei —which had it competed would have given the gan'es a record 36 nations —will not be represented. Dr. C. A. Bence, the Lord Mavor of Cardiff, arrived in Perth today. He will perform one of the most solemn and important ceremonies at the games—handing over the games ensign to Perth's Lord Mayor (Sir Harry Howard). In keeping with tradition, the official British Commonwealth and Empire Games flag had been kept at Cardiff since the games were staged there in 1958

Mills Arrives From U.S.

(NZ. Press Assn.—Copyngnt) PERTH. Nov. 19. With the arrival from the United States last night of L. R. Mills, the New Zealand team for the 1962 Empire Games at Perth is complete. He will compete in the discus throw and the shot put. The team 101 competitors and officials, is the biggest to represent New Zealand at an international meeting. For the last four months Mills has been doing a business admin.stration course at the University of Los Altos 40 miles south of San Francisco.
