FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone is moving eastwards over the Tasman Sea towards New Zealand. Forecast:— Marlborough and’ Canterbury.—Winds light to moderate and variable; fine; mild afternoon temperatures. Outlook: fine. Nelson.—Moderate south-westerlies decreasing; fine; mild day temperatures. Outlook: fine. Buller and Westland.—Fresh westerlies decreasing; scattered showers and increasing fair intervals; fine in most places by afternoon; moderate temperatures. Outlook: some'showers in the south, otherwise ' fine.
