West Germany has a*sed to buy 1500 British tank gun* and 458.000 round* of ammunition a* a cost of M 6.000.000 mark* Agreement was reached dur. ing talks between the British Minister of Defence <Mr Thorneycroft) and his West German counterpart (Mr Franz-Josef Strauss), the British United pres* reported. Official* did not reveal the type of tank gun Germany would buy. A communique said the two men also discussed joint development of a vertical take-off plane.
