MAORI ALL BLACK DIES
J. Grbich In Accident (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov: 18. James Grbich, the Maori All Black and Wellington Rugby representative, died in the Wellington Hospital at 9 am. yesterday as a result of injuries received in an accident at the Tawa turn-off at 3 a.m. A married man with two children, he worked as a sales representative and lived in Hampshire street, Porirua East.
Mr Grbich was a Rugby player of outstanding ability, first as a wing three-quarter, and then as a loose forward.
He represented the New Zealand Maoris many times, touring Australia in 1958 and playing against the British Isles at Auckland in 1959. He also played for Wellington against the British Isles that year, and toured Tonga and Western Samoa in 1960.
