HANDICAPPED CHILDREN
Increasing Number Of Cases (N.Z. Preu Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. He viewed with seriousness the increasing number of cases of handicapped children, the president (Sir Charles Norwood) told the annual meeting of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society yesterday. “Instead of decreasing each year they are beating us,” he said. He thought it wonderful to note that 485 cases had been written off as “cured” or at least able to take their place in society during the last year. Figures showed, however, that more than 485 new occurred each year.
