Games Runner Immersed "The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, Nov. 5. A few hour* before she came with in one second of breaking a New Zealand athletics record in Dunedin, Miss M. Chamberlain was baptised by total immersion at a Jehovah's Witnesses ceremony in Musselburgh Rise on Saturday. Miss Chamberlain, of Christchurch, is to represent New Zealand in athletic* ait the Perth Commonwealth Games. She was one of 28 Witnesses from all over the South Island who came to be baptised in Dunedin on Saturday. She is now considered a full member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and so was entitled to be baptised. Baptisms are held only twice a ■ year in New Zealand, in widely differing areas.
