CELEBRATION OF JUBILEE
Sumner-Redcliffs Church Plans
’’’he fiftieth anniversary of the Sumner-Redcliffs Presbyterian Church will be celebrated from November 10 to November 12.
On Saturday night a social gathering will be held in the Sumner Community Centre. The services on Sunday will be conducted by two former ministers of the church. A service at Redcliffs at 10 am., and one at Sumner at 11.15 a.m., will be conducted by the Rev. W R. Martin (1933 - 1944) The Very Rev J L. Robinson (1948 • 1955) will preach at the evening service, which will be held at Sumner only The celebrations will end with a variety concert by various parish organisations, at the Sumner Community Centre.
A jubilee history of the church and district from 1912 on has been published and is on sale now It has been compiled from photographs, drawings, newspaper cuttings, diaries and personal reminiscences from parishioners
