Plans Set For Rondabelle
The brilliant two-year-old Rondabelle returned to Wingatui after her runaway win in the £l5OO Welcome Stakes at Riccarton on Saturday. She will now be prepared for the Great Northern Foal Stakes at the Auckland Cup meeting at Ellerslie next month.
Rondabelle was also an impressive winner at Wingatui and at Trentaam. and has proved herself the best juvenile runner in the country. Her Wingatui trainer, R. Heasley, said yesterday that he was investigating the possibility of sending the Bellborough filly by air from Christchurch to Auckland.
Rondabelle will be given a few days off before being prepared for her Ellerslie campaign.
