ORAL POLIO VACCINE
Nearly 20,000 Doses Issued Health Department stalls issued 9110 second doses of oral polio vaccine in Christchurch yesterday, bringing the total to date to 19.498. The busiest spot in town yesterday was the table at Woolworth’s store in High street, where 1674 doses were issued. City clinics will be open today at the mass X-ray rooms (Manchester street). Christchurch railway station, the waiting-room in Cathedral square, the Health Department office in Hereford street, the Woolston and Hornby industrial clinics, the central city stores of Ballantynes. Hay's, Miller’s. Woolworth's. and The Farmers’, the National Airways freight depot, the motor vehicle registration branch of the Chief Post Office in Hereford street, the St. John Ambulance Association headquarters in Peterborough street, and the TA B. building in Manchester street. In the country, there will be clinics in the Okains Bay and Le Bons Bay Plunket rooms, at Hapuku and Mangamaunu (Kaikoura), at the Oddfellows' HaU (Leithfield), Broomfield School, and the Amberley ILS.A. Hall.
