Results of the fourth round of the Opawa Tennis Club’s night competition were:— Fendalton v. Elmwood
Mesdames Boatwood and Keys beat Mrs Fauls and Miss Tucker, 11-1; M. Healey and E. Ullrick beat B. Fauls and R Hampton. 7- M. Healey and Mrs Keys beat B. Fauls and Mrs Fauls. 8- E Ullrick and Mrs Boatwood beat R Hampton and Miss Tucker, 8-5.
Fendalton won by 4 sets to 0 Sumner v. North Linwood
Mrs J Ferguson and Miss C. Andrew beat Misses V. Cossar and S. Hinds 10-3: D Ferguson and E Watson drew with I. Salkeld and R. Sandford. 8-8: D Ferguson and Mrs Ferguson beat I. Salkeld and Miss Cossar. 9-7: E. Watson and Miss Andrew drew with R Sandford and Miss Hinds. 6-6
Sumner won by 2 sets to 0. 2 sets drawn.
Elmwood II v. Opawa II Misses HUI and Dawson lost to Mesdames Arnold and HUI. 1-13. A Sharp and R. Warran drew with D Atkinson and R. Gray. 6-6: R Warran and Miss Hill lost to D Atkinson and Mrs Hill, 4-8: A Sharp and Miss Dawson lost to R Gray and Mrs Arnold 4-13 Opawa II won by 3 sets to 0, 1 set drawn Redcliffs I v. Redcliffs 11 Mrs N Milne and Mrs V Wheal beat Mrs B Pickering and Miss B McDonald. 6-4; M. Steeds and M. Morgan beat G Barr and R. Payne. 8-4; M Steeds and Mrs Milne beat G. Barr and Mrs B Pickering, 6-3; M. Morgan and Mrs Wheal lost to R. Payne and Miss McDonald 5-8 Redcliffs I won by 3 sets to 1. Best scores tn the Anderson and Hill competition were:— Women: Mrs G Kirby. It; Mrs R. Poore. 17 Men: W Franklin. 20; K. Crozier, 18.
