MINOR FIRES
No damage, or only slight damage, was done by the minor fires dealt with by the Christchurch l ire Brigade yesterday. A unit from St Albans attended a chimney fire at Mrs M. Smiliie’s property, 18 Naseby street. Merivale, at 8.57 am. An oven fire was attended by a unit from Sockbum at 1.11 p.m at Mr A Hardacre’s house at 3 Axton street Upper Riccarton A call to a car fire at Mr E Avery’s property. 65 Innes road, was attended by a unit from St Albans at 125 p.m. Slight damage was done to a shed by a fire attended by a unit from the Central Station at 3.21 pjn. It was on property occupied by Mr A. Skilling at 467 Gloucester street.
