Complaint By Surveyors (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. Oct, 17. Irresponsible damage to trig signals and other survey marks during the last year was reported to the annual conference of the Institute of Suveyors at New Plymouth. As a result of the reports, the national council of the institute has been urged to conduct a Dominion-wide campaign in an effort to minimise damage to valuable equipment Damage has been particularly severe in Otago. Mid the Otago delegate, Mr R. J. McLean, whose branch forwarded a remit to the conference urging an extensive publicity campaign. The secretary. Mr E. H. Grieg, of Wellington, told delegates that five years ago a similar remit was before the conference. As a result 10,000 leaflets were prepared, but only 4000 of these had been utilised.
