Brussels’ Fair Stand (Special Crtpdi. NJEJF.A.) LONDON. Oct. It.. "Eye-catching” is the description given to the New Zealand stand at the Brussels’ food and domestic equipment trade fair. Legs and shoulders of New Zealand lamb are cocking on five revolving spits and other joints are sizzling in an oven watched over by a Belgian chef. The meat is being sampled by visitors to the stand. At a reception, Mr D. L. N. Martin, the representative in Britain of the New Zealand Meat Board, said the board’s objectives in exhibiting at the fair were first to discover whether Belgian housewives Like New Zealand lamb; second, to learn about Government procedures in meat trade practices in Belgium; third, to learn about housewives meat-eating habits; fourth, to find some meat wholesalers and retailers who would be willing to seU New Zealand lamb throughout the year; and fifth, to explore ways of overcoming any obstacles to the development of a market for New Zealand Lamb and other types of meat Ln Belgium.
